Ps3 game update download error

Keep it up people they need to see we are not happy on playstation 3 and we deserve to enjoy to content like the rest of the gaming community Edit 5: bungie these numbers are rising and Sony seems to be perfectly fine. Please take responsibility for the fact that your enterprise was not ready first off to allow this many people to download such a large update with very little servers to support it.

I would recommend you communicate with your community and with Sony to fix these issues. You have a lot of unhappy customers Edit 6: bungie stop throwing the blame at Sony please we all know you guys are to blame for this. I was able to update my dark souls without any issues, you need to get this fixed. Comment Reply Start Topic. Post History Loading, please wait. This may take some time The only thing I needed to do was connect to the internet with a wired connection. That resolved the download speed and errors.

Im not entirely sure if this issue continues to be a problem for noob players like myself that have just barely gotten a copy of Taken King but I ran into the exact same issue with downloading the massive update. This is exactly where I went and what I did in order to overcome the dreaded error code and download Destiny's massive update.

First up I thought it was an hardware issue newsflash it wasn't but I was willing to consider every issue so I formatted my ps3 so that it would have more than enough space to download the updates I did delete the cache, cookies, and history from my ps3 internet browser. Next I turned off the media server connection in the PS3 Settings tab. See Above. See above.

Once I completed these steps, I found that I was capable of overcoming the dreaded ERROR code when downloading the updates and haven't run into a issue since. Its been 3 days and still no issue. I hope this helps someone. Good luck Guardians. Can any one game share destiny with me I don't have any interest games. I've been having this problem for 3 days and it stopped downloading, showing the error instead, every time.

Honestly, I don't know if this was just for my PS3, but apparently it's not Bungie's fault. At least not on my end. I researched the issue, and turns out people have had this issue with other games in the past.

It probably more or less stutters the connection from the PS3 to your modem and causes it to time out. Hope this helps a few of you out. I was downloading the 8, mb update. Let's not jump to conclusions and kill bungie now, this game wouldn't even be possible were it not for them. Thanks Bungie! No wonder their admin's keep posting here telling people to troubleshoot the error codes, even though I just googled "destiny ps3 update error during download operation" and didn't even put the code.

Go figure. Having errors downloading that shit since 9 September bullshit i want to play the game error U , rocknard and kozarovv like this. W00fer , Feb 27, Yugonibblit and nCadeRegal like this. Hello, My sincerest apologies for reviving a two year old thread.

Just, hear me out. LuckyCross , Jun 28, Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. U and Algol like this. Bump so people can see this. I really want to get back to playing my games, but I am officially sick and tired of screwing around with this error for hours on end.

These are some basic things that you have to do when your console isn't functioning properly; however, I highly recommend you to call the customer support of Sony if the mentioned methods should fail you. MegaMario Topic Creator 8 years ago 7. How do I access factory mode?

I know I can fix this on my own, I just don't know what exactly I need to do. Isn't there anyone here who has had this same problem and knows how to fix it? LuciferTerror 8 years ago 8. Turn off Playstation 3 leave it on standby. Hold The power button down; the system will turn on and turn off by itself. Once the System has been shutdown, hold the power button again until you hear 2 consecutive beeps.

When you hear the 2 beeps take your finger off the power button. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button 6. The Recovery menu will pop up. Not sure what the correct term is; factory mode or recovery menu, but both seem to be correct. Anyway, this is how you do it. MegaMario Topic Creator 8 years ago 9. So, what's going to happen once I rebuild the database? Will I lose anything?

MegaMario Topic Creator 8 years ago Well, I did what you said, and it didn't work. After the double beep, it just tried and failed the update again. More topics from this board
